Account data deletion
You can delete your DataFight account at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, what is retained, and how long it takes.
This procedure satisfies Google Play's user-initiated account deletion requirements.
1. How to delete your account
Method 1 — From the app (recommended)
- Open DataFight on your device
- Go to Profile (icon at the bottom right)
- Tap “Delete my account”
- Confirm with your password or your Google account
- Deletion is executed immediately
Method 2 — By email
If you no longer have access to the app (lost phone, uninstalled, etc.), email contact@datafight.app from the address associated with your account, with subject “Account deletion”.
We process requests within 30 days maximum, most often within 48 hours. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
2. Data deleted
Deletion permanently erases the following items:
- Your user account and credentials
- Your athletes and their full profiles
- All your recorded fights and their actions
- All your uploaded cloud videos
- All generated AI reports (coaching, scouting, game plan, tactic, head-to-head)
- Your settings, preferences, and clip reels
- Your tactical notes and drawings
- Your cloud sync data (if you were subscribed)
3. Data retained (legal or security reasons)
Some data may be retained beyond deletion, for strictly legal reasons:

No other data is retained
Videos, actions, athletes, AI reports, profile: everything is permanently deleted and no longer recoverable.
4. If you are part of a team (Team Seat)
You are a team member
- Your personal data (account, email) is deleted
- Actions and fights you recorded for the team remain in the Team Owner's account — they are not attributed to you personally and belong to the organization
- You can contact the Team Owner if you wish for specific withdrawal
You are the Team Owner
Deleting your account also deletes all team data and revokes member access. We strongly recommend transferring team ownership to another member before deletion. Contact contact@datafight.app to perform this transfer.
5. Cancel your subscription before deletion
Important: deleting your DataFight account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately to avoid being billed again:
- Open the Google Play app
- Tap your avatar → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Select DataFight → Cancel subscription
- Confirm cancellation
6. Export your data before deletion
Once deletion is confirmed, data is no longer recoverable. If you want to keep a copy for your archives or use it in another tool, export it from the app:
- Profile → Export my data
- You receive 3 CSV files: fights, roster, detailed actions
- 100% portable and usable in Excel, Sheets, Notion, or any third-party tool
7. Timing and confirmation
- Deletion from the app: immediate
- Email request: processed within 30 days maximum
- Videos on Cloudflare R2: erased within 7 days
- Encrypted backups: purged in the next rotation cycle (30 days)
